With the second round of fan returns for the 2018 All-Star voting, LeBron James and Stephen Curry now lead their respective conferences.

James leads the Eastern Conference with 1,622,838 fan votes, passing the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had 1,480,954 votes. They’re both listed on the frontcourt list.

Curry sits atop the Western Conference with 1,369,658 votes after passing Warriors teammate Kevin Durant, who now has 1,326,059 votes. However, Durant is still the leader in the Western frontcourt; Curry leads the guards list.

With fans making up 50 percent of the voting (active NBA players and NBA media make up 25 percent each), it’s likely James and Curry will be the team captains under the new All-Star setup.

Previously, players voted to the All-Star roster simply played in a conference matchup, but a new All-Star format has two team captains from a list of players and have them either start or be alternates. The captains are automatically starters.
